A leading financial services business is now looking to recruit a Pensions specialist to join their London HR team. Reporting into the Head of Pensions Governance, this role will be responsible for managing the relationship with the scheme actuaries, managing pensions related projects (both cyclical and one-off) and manage relationships and service delivery from external suppliers ensuring contracts are compliant. You will act as technical lead for UK pensions projects as required (Plan design, legislation or regulatory change and systems change reviews and implementation) and will manage annual and triennial supplier reviews and tender exercises and be the risk and control owner for specific elements of overall risk and control frameworks and data management. As a result the business is looking to meet candidates with extensive Pensions experience to include: relevant professional pensions qualifications, either complete or studying e.g. FIA / APMI (or equivalent), in depth detailed knowledge and application of current and historic UK pensions legislation, regulatory requirements and developments for DB and DC pension arrangements. Strong project management skills are required as is experience of assessing and interpreting highly complex and detailed regulatory requirements for UK pension schemes, best practice and policy changes. Experience of engaging, managing and reviewing pension fund suppliers and producing content used in the governance of UK trust based pension funds.
