We're partnering with a PE-backed global networking performance monitoring and management client to hire a Vice President of People. While the company has been around for well over a decade, and recently grew through M&A activity to increase market share, their HR function is still in "start-up" mode and requires a leader who can build the right foundation that will serve as the backbone for a strategic business partnering capability. The company has 140-150 employees, the bulk of whom are based remotely across the US, with ~20 employees in several European offices. The VP of People will be supported by a team of recruiters at varying levels, an HR Analyst, and an HR Consultant who they would have the opportunity to convert to a full-time resource.

Although the company has had a People function in the past, they have spent the last half year cleaning up a number of compliance deficiencies and implementing new benefits, a performance management system, and updating their employee handbook and templates to bring them to a current and compliant state. While there is still work to be done in this area, the major issues have been addressed and brought compliant. The VP of People will have the opportunity to build out enhanced processes to support onboarding and people development in a largely virtual context, in close partnership with a newly appointed and engaged leadership team. This role reports to the company's General Counsel.

Our client is seeking candidates with 8+ years of diversified HR experience, including expertise in more technical areas of HR such as benefits, HR systems, and oversight of payroll. Expertise in employee relations, recruitment, management and talent development, performance management, and succession planning will be critical for success as the VP will be responsible for the maturation of the HR function and implementation of efficient processes that align talent to the business strategy. Experience leading HR for a global organization is a necessity. Several years of team management experience, with proven experience developing business partnering HR professionals, is required.
