I am supporting a European logistics business in appointing their HR Lead. The role will have full ownership of their UK business that consists of circa 3,000 staff who are based out of Sheffield. The organisation has gone through considerable change and as they continue to diversify the people agenda will continue to underpin its success. The role is part of the European HR leadership team and will operate in a heavily matrix business model.
Reporting into the European HR Director, you will work directly with the UK CEO and sit on the UK leadership team. The role will work in a matrix HR structure and have support of a team of 20, some of which will report into the central COE based in the European HQ. The focus of this role is driving change across the workforce which consists of production, operations and sales. As well as being a unionised environment, the continued professionalisation of HR and driving productivity are a continuing priority. The role will play a critical conduit between the UK business and group, this will involve deploying initiatives including a global workday role out.
