This is a great opportunity to work for a business based in South Wales as the Site HR Manager for a manufacturing site. The position reports directly into the Group HRD with a dotted line into the Site GM and with one direct report.
As HR Manager you will work in close partnership with the site leadership team to build an effective HR strategy and plan, this will involve looking at all current processes, policies and procedures to enable you to build a compelling and robust HR programme. This will require you to be very hands-on operationally, acting as the first point of contact for all people related activities to include: employee engagement, coaching and developing the senior leadership team, employee and industrial relations, succession planning and performance management, C&B's, recruitment, HR management information and training.
They are looking for a pro-active and self-starting HR Manager who has worked in a similar site based manufacturing/engineering/supply chain/FMCG environment. With strong knowledge of UK employment law you will have the ability to develop an HR strategy, deliver change in a fast paced working environment and be able to work operationally. Alongside your broad HR generalist experience you will be able to build and manage relationships at a senior level, possess good business/financial acumen and have great communication skills.
The site is commutable from Cardiff, Newport, Caerphilly, Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil, Bridgend, Blackwood and surrounding areas. Due to the nature of the business you would be expected to be on site for 3-4 days/week.
