I am working with a Food Manufacturing organisation in Gloucester to recruit a Senior HR Officer to support a site of 250 employees. This Senior HR Officer will take the lead on site reporting into the Regional Senior HR Manager.
Supported by two HR Administrators, you will be responsible for providing full support across the entire employee life cycle including; recruitment, employee relations, training & development and department support.
You supporting hiring managers in managing headcount and identifying vacancies. You will give appropriate HR advice on key issues such as disciplinary, grievance and capability. You will support Managers in disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings which includes involvement in investigations. You will also ensure a consistent and robust application of the attendance procedure in line with the Absence Policy.
As HR Lead you will be the link between the business and HR, ensuring the HR agenda is implemented and at the forefront of managers minds. Attending weekly Management team meetings and report on HR KPI's. You will also attend quarterly HR Team meetings to represent site and report accordingly.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, confident and ambitious HR professional who is looking to take a lead role on site. You are CIPD Level 5 Qualified or have the equivalent level of experience. Experience of working within a manufacturing or fast paced organisation in a HR Officer / BP role. It is advantageous to have worked in a food manufacturing organisation.
You will need Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and work effectively within a team. You will need to be confident on your decision making and comfortable having difficult conversations. You will also have a relentless drive to improve performance and deliver outstanding results through new, innovative and more effective ways of working.
