I am delighted to work with an international, matrix structured, professional services organisation to recruit their permanent Senior HR Manager, based in Manchester.
In this role you will lead HR in the North and work closely with the COO on change & transformation programmes. You will partner with senior global stakeholders, lead an HR team and become a senior HR leader in an international, well recognised, matrix structured business.
* Reporting into the UK Head of HR, the strategic Senior HR Manager/ Head of HR for the North will have direct line management of a team of six, identifying strengths, utilising and fostering those strengths whilst coaching and supporting them in development areas.
* You will work closely with the COO and other Senior Leaders in Manchester on change management programmes which may involve restructuring, realignment or reconfiguration. The COO and Senior Leaders have high expectations and will challenge you on how the people agenda is making a commercial impact.
* You will be responsible for a broad range of HR activities including; managing the career development review process, leading on salary reviews, identifying development needs, making recommendations and implementing appropriate solutions.
* You will be heavily involved in the review and audit of business efficiency and people. You will need to understand the people impact of change and design effective plans to mitigate risks and embed change.
Required skills & experience
This role will suit a strategic HR Business Partner with experience gained in a large matrix organisation. You will join a complex business which may often be challenging to navigate, so you'll need to quickly build relationships and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity. The successful candidate will be confident, approachable and have a strong work ethic - you will need to have impact and influence at a senior level in order to build credibility quickly.
We are looking for someone who has developed a career within Legal, Insurance, Professional or Financial Services. It is essential you have experience working in a matrix structure with strong people management experience. You will need to be resilient and confident in your approach with the ability to make commercial decisions, influence and challenge stakeholders.
