This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional as you will handle a varied workload, answering day to day queries from employees and line managers, dealing with a diverse array of HR matters and getting involved with employee relations issues. You will also be given the opportunity to work on a range of projects including HR 2019 objectives, Total Rewards initiatives, gender pay gap and our 2019 Trainee programme. There may be ad hoc travel as required to Ireland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for all aspects of HR activities within the designated practice areas and Dublin office
  • EMEA HR Team alignment: active participant in the EMEA HR team to enable full understanding of all strategies, activities and initiatives and be accountable for delivery and articulation of these for the London and Dublin practices
  • Training: promoting learning and development within the office; conducting and organizing training, maintaining bi-annual professional maintenance; identifying training needs and leveraging the global HR network to provide appropriate training sessions
  • Compensation and benefits: working with the HR Director and Total Rewards to benchmark and ensure competitive practices
  • Accountable for the annual salary review process including close liaison with the EMEA HR team and Total Rewards to ensure the activities align to the global corporate requirements
  • Recruitment: working closely with internal EMEA Recruitment Team to identify and hire the best available talent, and ensure close involvement in the recruitment processes.
  • Accountable for ad hoc tasks and projects when required under direction from the EMEA HR Director
  • Coaching and advising managers on day to day employee issues
  • Advising on probation reviews and performance management
  • Advising line managers in relation to Firm policies and procedures
  • Managing employee relationships, responding to any queries and managing expectations
  • Handling HR matters reliably and in accordance with legal requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a global organization
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law
  • A strong communicator - verbal and written - who is highly collaborative with exceptional relationship management skills
  • Able to work as part of the wider EMEA HR team, as well as autonomously
  • Employee relations experience preferred
  • Excellent organisation skills and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good relationship building skills across all levels
  • Able to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Ideally part or fully CIPD qualified
