We are working with forward thinking, diverse and ethical retail organisation to recruit an Instore HR Manager for a store in Dudley. This retail organisation were one of the first to recognise their social and economic responsibilities and have been a leader in ethical trading in 2011, along with the introduction of numerous other energy saving and recycling initiatives.
As HR Manager you will take the lead on site reporting into the Regional HR Business Partner undertaking all hands on operational support on site. You will be responsible for all reactive and proactive initiatives across the entire employee lifecycle. This will range from recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations casework and people issues, through to; L&D initiatives, training, coaching (employees and within your team), succession planning, talent mapping and retention.
You will undertake payroll activities and champion GDPR and ensure compliance throughout the store. As HR Lead on site you will be the link between the Store Manager and HR, ensuring the HR agenda is implemented and a factor in business decisions, at the forefront of managers minds.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, confident and ambitious HR professional who is looking to take a lead role on site. You will work 5 out of 7 days therefore you need to be comfortable with weekend working. You could be CIPD Level 3 or 5 and if you are looking to reach Level 7 this organisation will support you financially. You will need strong employee relations experience and a great understanding of employment law.
You will need excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and work effectively across an organisation. You will need to be confident on your decision making and comfortable having difficult conversations. You will also have a relentless drive to improve performance and deliver outstanding results through new, innovative and more effective ways of working. Experience working with logistics, is highly advantageous. This is a 24 hour operation with 5/7 weekends required to work which is rotated with a support team of two.
