The Human Resources Generalist will work alongside Human Resources Management in carrying out responsibilities in leave management, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance. This is an excellent role joining a firm that is expanding in both size and offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance on communications, issues, policy changes, etc. including employee relations, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance to HR policies as required by country, federal, and state regulations (audits, tracking systems, data review, etc.)
  • Assists with compensation analysis and benchmarking
  • Develops, implements and actively participates in employee engagement activities
  • Partners with appropriate HR teams to develop and conducts Human Resources training for managers and employees
  • Partner with managers on solving people-related business problems by understanding issues, considering possible exceptions and implementing appropriate and necessary changes
  • Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees
  • Maintain compliance with Company policy as well as federal, state, and local legal requirements. Study existing and new legislation; anticipate legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; and advise management on needed actions

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of HR experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with staff at all levels including C-level executives
  • Experience with performance management, resolving conflict, employment law, maintaining employee files, and project management
  • Must exercise the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Must be detail-oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy and work well under pressure
  • Friendly and professional personality
  • Requires the ability to present a professional image and to encourage others to do the same
  • Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines
  • Makes effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
