Frazer Jones has been retained by one of our Global leading Industrial clients to identify an experienced HR professional to lead HR in Japan. Operating in over 50 countries and with annual revenues close to 5B Euros, this is a fast paced environment where there is a culture of communication and collaboration to deliver results and drive improvements. As part of the larger APAC team and with matrix reporting to their country VP and Head of APAC HR, this role offers a great opportunity for those that enjoy working in an advisory capacity supporting organisational alignment and change as well as leading a team operationally.
The position will be based in Tokyo and you will be responsible for a population of around 200 across 3 separate BU's that operate across the country. You to work closely with leaders of different nationalities, acting as their trusted advisor for their Japan operations. Managing a team of 2, you will be responsible for end to end HR, leveraging support from APAC C&B and Talent COE's.
Our client is interested to speak with candidates that have experience managing HR for an international organisation in Japan. Candidates that act as a number two in a larger organisation that have strong client advisory and generalist experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have a generalist background, have strong analytical skills and judgement and have the ability to build credibility and influence with the diverse leadership team. Experience aligning C&B strategy would be beneficial along with managing change. Experience working within a broader global HR team as well as Japanese and English language fluency will be critical to perform this role.
