My client an Independent school that prides itself on its pastoral care and promoting community spirit that creates a happy environment for its children is looking to appoint a HR Manager.

As HR Manager you will take the lead on all employee lifecycle, from performance management, employee relations, policy and procedure and staff handbook updates and recruitment. You will work with the senior leadership team to ensure a seamless HR offering with the support of the admin team. You will be a full HR generalist happy to work in a standalone capacity offering strategic and operational support to the 125 employees, made up of teacher and non-teaching employees. The role offers autonomy across all areas of HR to truly support the school this will include support around compliance and safeguarding although these will be supported areas via a safeguarding officer and the Head Teacher.

In this role you will be the first point of call for all HR queries, supporting, coaching and guiding senior stakeholders and advising on best HR practise whilst working in a collaborative, friendly and engaging environment. To be successful in this role you will be a true HR Generalist able to demonstrate your excellent HR knowledge and understanding of UK employment law . You will have experience working in a SME sized business working flexibly within a diverse and energetic organisation and understand safeguarding or regulatory requirements. This role would suit a Senior HR Advisor looking to step up or a HR Manager, the client is open to sector background and is looking for a HR professional that is keen to work with the school to really develop its HR capability. You will be CIPD qualified ideally to level 5 or 7 or degree or hold a degree.

The client is happy to be adaptable on the working hours of this role and is most interested in the abilities to run a successful HR offering.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Location: Richmond

Working hours: Flexible and open to part time options.
