Our client:

Our client is a successful start-up with a small but steadily growing base in Singapore, they have ambitious plans and need the right person in place to ensure they are future proofed. Their HQ is based overseas and they have a number of regional offices. They have engaged our services for a newly created HR Director role to professionalise the HR function and act as a strategic business partner to the business leaders. This person will create and lead a HR team, they have an office manager that has embedded process and policies to enable more strategic partnering.

The role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join an up and coming start-up firm and build a HR team and function to support the business needs and create a people plan. This person will re-brand the HR function.

This is the most senior position within Singapore and will need to be autonomous and have accountability for the people aspects with for a mid sized but growing office. Stakeholder management, relationship building and flexibility for the business will be a key competency for the role. This person will have matrix reporting to the business and HR.

Based in Singapore, this role will be responsible for the implementation of the HR strategy and smooth running of daily operations.

Strategic Oversight;

You will play a lead role in the development and implementation of commercial HR solutions (in line with the firm's parameters and local market) to support the firm's strategy for Singapore. This will include establishing strong operational excellence, being a change leader when necessary, supporting talent management processes, operational efficiency and HR expertise.

You will act as a lead on a number of HR initiatives and collaborate with global/APAC counterparts to roll out the people strategy.

Background;

  • Language Requirement: You MUST speak and read in Chinese at a business level to review any key documents. Writing would be beneficial, but not essential
  • To be considered for this role you will come with exposure within the oil and gas sector (preferred) and or financial Services
