Responsibilities include:

Expatriate Management

Management of all secondments to and from the London office/MotoNovo/Aldermore to include but not limited to:

  • Liaison with relevant BU Head and HR Business Partner in home/ host country & International Head of Mobility to prepare Secondment Agreement
  • Communications with secondees and their families pre-secondment and for the duration of the second as necessary and appropriate
  • Liaison with Immigration lawyers as and when necessary to arrange work permits/ visas
  • To ensure compliance with all relevant immigration legislation and requirements
  • Work with relocation agents to arrange shipping; home search and school search packages as required & appropriate
  • Engage with internal & external tax specialists to ensure necessary tax requirements are met
  • Work with Payroll Manager & share admin team to ensure expatriate share allocations are issued & taxed accordingly
  • Working with the Tax teams

Remuneration & Compensation

  • Assist Head of HR through management of annual remuneration review process to include but not limited to preparation of annual benchmarking data submission; liaison with BU Heads in regards to recommendations; population of relevant remuneration spreadsheets; preparation of remuneration review letters and total reward statements


  • Assisting with the employee benefit programmes including administration and renewals processes.
  • Responsible for pension scheme administration and promotion in conjunction with pension advisers and organisation of Pensions Governance Committee meetings
  • Administration of all UK share allocations and payments (including all ongoing requirements for secondees)
  • Liaising with the share team in SA


  • To manage end-to-end recruitment process across all brands within the London Branch
  • Responsible for review, evaluation, development and implementation of recruitment policy and procedures
  • Work with HR Assistant & relevant HR Business Partners to prepare all offer documentation
  • Build relations with recruitment agents to help develop pool of trusted recruitment partners within the London market

General HR

  • Work in conjunction with Finance and Financial Systems teams to develop annual staffing and HR budgets for the Branch.
  • Review policies and procedures and ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Ensure that the Employee Handbook is updated and reflects employment legislation
  • Work closely with Head of HR and Compliance team to ensure requirements are met under the Senior Managers & Certification Regime and other relevant regulatory and legislative processes.
  • Maintenance of HR Comply
  • Assist with the performance management processes for the London office
  • Oversee and assist with the Payroll collation to be sent to Finance
  • Work with team to develop initiatives to promote staff wellbeing
  • Assist with CSR initiatives
  • Production of robust HR reporting and management information
  • Involvement in ad hoc HR projects/queries as and when they arise
  • Provide cover in the team

Employee Relations

  • Act as trusted adviser to businesses to provide support on ER related issues to include but not limited to disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, TUPE, absence management, performance improvement and flexible working requests.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong stakeholder management across multiple jurisdictions
  • Resilience in the face of constantly changing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proactive in developing and driving through HR initiatives
  • Collaboration across HR functions based in London, Cardiff, Channel Islands and South Africa
  • Strong employment law, HR legislation and financial services regulatory knowledge and experience
  • Strong personal impact and self-awareness
  • Flexible approach to providing workable HR solutions to the business in alignment with their business plans and strategies
  • Working knowledge of and interest in employee benefits including pensions and share based incentives
  • Some travel to Cardiff and South Africa may be required
