As well as a year or more experience in Asset Management (or similar financial services environment), professional maturity and the ability to act as a skilled multitasker with the ability to learn a vibrant business is crucial. You'll be the HR point of contact for the analyst/ associate level population, and will own a client population, continually building relationships. Responsible for metrics including headcount tracking, forecasts for hiring, turnover reports and maintaining a monthly dashboard, the ideal hire will offer extremely strong excel skills (pivot tables and vlookups at minimum). Additionally, experience running the administration of an intern or summer analyst program would be a huge plus.
