The Head of HR Europe shapes, oversees and implements the regional HR strategy for DACH. You will ensure the adherence to regional policies and guidelines, work with the work council and be responsible for the regional HR controlling. You will act as a trusted consultant for the regional line managers by offering effective HR Business solutions in compliance with local labor law.

Responsibilities

  • Management of 2 regional HR teams
  • Ensure the further integration of a new business unit and meet all relevant targets in terms of Target Operating Model, personnel costs, change management and leadership support
  • Ensure an effective and efficient HR management, including HR controlling, administration, HR IT systems, recruitment, leadership support and a professional local project management
  • Provide strategic business partnership & coaching to regional line managers with regard to HR-related topics
  • Negotiation of selected works agreements with the German works council and representing the company at the employers' association as well as in discussions with the relevant union in Germany
  • Advise the Executive Team in regard to all strategic and operational HR specific topics, in particular regarding employee performance, personnel costs, and compliance with labor law and legal employee regulations
  • Drive implementation of HR policies in line with country-specific legislations / standards
  • Coordinate & lead all stages of Talent Acquisition including screening, conducting interviews, providing advise to hiring managers for open positions in DACH
  • Partner with the business stakeholders to conduct learning needs assessments, establish priorities and promote development resources to employees
  • Advise on annual performance management processes, such as performance review and development plans
  • Coordinate end-to-end employment lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
  • Monitor and control key-metrics to ensure effectiveness of HR initiatives / deliverables

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Law, HR, Business Administration or equivalent qualification
  • 5+ years of experience as HR Generalist or HR Business Partner plus 5+ years of leadership experience in an international matrix organization as well as another 5+ years' experience in managing HR managers in a matrix organization
  • Understanding of local HR legislation and administration
  • Data driven and driving company performance from an HR perspective
  • Ability to identify and convince stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills for interactions with the C-Level and with Private Equity representatives
  • Fluent verbal and written communication in English & German
