I have partnered with a global fashion and homewares retailer on their search for an Employee Relations Advisor to join their team based in Hertfordshire, just a short commute from London!
As a fast paced and energetic business, they are looking for a proactive self-starter with a problem-solving mindset who is comfortable with ambiguity. Supporting the UK and Ireland, you will work collaboratively with various functions and have the ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, while being flexible and adaptable to continuous change. You will be a strong team player who remains reactive to business needs, and will be able to demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under pressure in this fast paced, lively and friendly environment.
As the ER Advisor you will sit within a team of specialists working closely with other centres of excellence within the HR function to support both head office and retail populations. You will be second line support for the ER case load, primarily picked up by the shared service team before being escalated to the ER team as well as working with the ER manager on employment law updates and communicating these changes to management. You will advise the talent function on right to work and visas for new starters as well as developing new policies for both the UK and Ireland.
The ideal candidate for this role will have had a previous ER focus and be comfortable advising on all ER related issues face to face as well as over the phone and via email.
