We're working on an exciting Director of Talent Acquisition search with an early stage music, TV, & film SaaS joint venture. This role can be based in either Los Angeles or New York City, with a preference for L.A. as the executive leadership team is largely based there. This role will report to a Head of People. The Head of People reports to a recently appointed CEO who has a track record of success in scaling start-ups, and will be a critical part of the executive leadership team.
As an early stage $40M joint venture, our client is relying on the resources of the founding parent companies for HR services and recruitment support, with a plan to transition to independence for these capabilities by the end of 2022. The Director of Talent acquisition will build out the recruitment infrastructure while executing searches. The company is currently using the ATS and vendor services of their founding parent companies, but the Director of Talent Acquisition will move the company to an independent solution beginning around mid-2022. The company has 120 employees, who need to be integrated, but expects headcount to be around 150+ by the end of next year. Our client is simultaneously hiring a Head of People into whom this role will report. The leadership team just put forth their 5 year business plan which entails category expansion, international growth, and product development to service greenfield markets for which comparable products do not yet exist.
Our client is keen to meet with candidates who have 5+ years of substantive talent acquisition experience gained within a scaling tech start up. Experience in larger best in class companies would be a +. Acumen in technical recruiting, as well as recruiting for other functional areas, is key to success in this role. Our client offers an "anchor & flex" hybrid working model with several fixed days on site each week and flexibility on alternate days, but the Head of People will play a key role in defining the future of work alongside the leadership team.
